Self Awareness-Mindfulness methodologies that enhance Self Awareness can bring neutrality to the clinicians and enhance the ability to cope in challenging situations. A clinician who has had a tough teenage phase is more likely to feel the deep and debilitating pain of patients and clients who carry deep scars from their teenage years or the patients who are going through a difficult teenage phase.
Techniques offered in self awareness pillar of mindfulness can provide clarity to identify one’s own trigger points and the ability to heal and to neutralize them. These techniques can provide the clinician with personal remedies for long term and permanent healing which can be extended to provide healing for patients.
Self Acceptance-Mindfulness methodologies that enhance Self Acceptance help the clinicians to heal from self asserted hardship and self judgment. Invariably what we judge in others’ stems from the harsh ways that we judge and critique ourselves. This may be the residue carried over from the ways that we have been judged and critiqued in childhood, youth and young adulthood. Self acceptance techniques of mindfulness can heal all such scars and replace excessive self judgment with neutrality.
Healthy clinicians do not carry energetic scar tissues from judgmental outlook to life and can become neutral, accepting champions of their patients and their cause. Then time and energy can go toward establishing healing strategies with long term benefits to all relevant parties. The clinicians will be in a better position to address the needs of the patients while accepting all the issues surrounding the circumstances. Acceptance does not mean lack of compassion or lowering of standards. It simply means accepting things where they are and devising strategy to fix or improve upon the existing circumstances.
Lack of self acceptance can be a product of self judgment and self criticism. It can inflict deep energetic impact in the form of stagnant energies and blockages which often lead to sickness and ailments that appear in organs of the body. Self Sabotage is the opposite of Self Love
Self Sabotage is a destructive element with deep roots in addictive behavior and addiction. Mindful awareness of this connection is a key in turning the behavioral dysfunction associated with addiction and addictive behavior around. Using methodologies that bring self awareness to the acts of self sabotage can open a new window for healing to begin. Course description and areas of focus- Mindfulness techniques can become powerful tools for Stress release, alleviation of trauma, awareness of the impact of prolonged exposure to stress and trauma and its detrimental impact on the body.
1-Enhance your ability to devise effective strategies to alleviate stress and curb the detrimental impact of trauma. Stress and trauma is invariably present as vicarious trauma due to prolonged exposure to other people’s struggles and hardship manifest in the lives of your patients and clients in your practice. Similarly stress and trauma may be issues that clinicians are exposed to as a primary condition in their own lives from childhood to present. Such existing trauma can be exacerbated and relived when working in environments where exposure to trauma and stress is inevitable.
2- Improve the behavioral and cognitive health of your patients, clients, students, staff, coworkers and loved ones through the exercises, techniques and methodologies that curb the stress and alleviate the trauma while encouraging greater focus on the positive aspects of live and living .
3- Bring awareness to your own needs as providers of behavioral health and wholeness. For as long as we live and breathe, we are instruments for the flow of energy. Active and healthy flow of energy can be the highest contributing factor to your own well being, as well as the well being of those under your care. It becomes an even more important factor in the case of professionals in industries with direct patient contact and hands on healing. Here, the dynamic exchange requires you to maintain a mindful and intentional flow of energy directed to your patients for the purpose of clinical improvement. However, that same exchange can drain and deplete or derail your own energy flow, leaving you achy, exhausted, depleted and possibly unsatisfied with the results; all of which are a concern, which can be avoided or abated easily.
Healers and Clinicians invariably put the needs of their clients before their own, sometimes at a high cost to themselves. - Principles of Energy Flow – Since energy is not a tangible commodity, we will first have to establish its existence. Then get acquainted with its flow or lack thereof. Where flow is lacking or interrupted, it leads to depleted energy, stagnancy and negative or dangerous behavioral patterns. Enhanced positive flow improves the sense of well being, peace and harmony.
